      Gopal discusses a method of status reporting that he learned early in his career as an engineer. The method involves starting with the punch line, followed by the current status, next steps, and explanation, which saves time and provides clarity. Gopal then recounts a story of how his son used this method to report his status after getting into an accident. The punch line of "I'm OK; the bull is dead" was enough to inform the author that his son was safe, and the rest of the details could be discussed later. This method of reporting is known as the inverted pyramid style, which is the opposite of the academic approach.
