01 We match you with an expert coach in your field
We'll get to know you during an initial consultation. Then we'll match you with a coach 1-2 levels above you that fits your specific preferences and goals.
02 1:1 sessions, usually 2x per month, fully remote
Depending on your preferences, you'll meet weekly or monthly for 1 hour 1:1 video sessions. Your coach will roll up their sleeves and dive into your day-to-day challenges with you. Your coach will guide you based on their knowledge and experience like a mentor, and motivate you and help you stay accountable like a coach.
03 Grow your skillset and career
Work with your coach to reach your goals and stay accountable, like a personal trainer for work. You'll be able to access a curriculum of curated resources in your field.
What about pricing?
Most companies cover coaching expenses. We will tell you how that works. People are often surprised to discover that their employer - even early-stage startups - will cover all or a portion of coaching expenses.
The cost of coaching varies based on your experience level. Pricing starts at $150 / hour for junior individual contributors.

How much does this cost?
Most of our customers have their employer pay for coaching. The cost of coaching varies based on your experience level. Pricing starts at $150 / hour.
How do the coaching plans work?
Our monthly subscriptions are for 1, 2, or 4 hours per month. You can switch plans at any time. 90% of our customers spend 2 hours per month with their coach. The length of the coaching relationship varies from a few months to multiple years. You can also switch coaches at any time.
How does the coach matching process work?
As a first step, we conduct a free intro call to get to know you, learn about your skill and career growth goals, and tell you more about how our coaching works. We'll then use what we learn to precisely match you with a coach from your domain who has been where you're going, usually 1 to 2 levels ahead of you. We also incorporate the coach's experience across industries, business types, company sizes, communication styles, and technical areas where appropriate.
Is this mentoring, coaching, or something else?
Practica is a blend of both. Your Practica coach will give you guidance based on their own domain knowledge and experience like a mentor, but they will also motivate you and help you stay accountable to your goals like a coach. You can think of Practica as a personal trainer for work.
